The Platform

AAI Health is a complete musculoskeletal ecosystem under one umbrella. It leverages a proprietary virtual MSK assessment platform that turns movement into clinical grade data and combines it with expert physician reporting. We are the objective standard for pain and musculoskeletal health.

We predict risk before it becomes a claim, prove whether treatment is working, and coordinate the right care.
The result: less guesswork, lower cost, and better outcomes with fewer unnecessary opioids and surgeries along the way. AAI Health is the “blood test” for how you move.

AAI Health addresses everything under MSK, including physical and mental pain, function, and obesity. We partner with attorneys, rural health, FQHC, employers, self-insured entities, brokers, TPAs and others who believe in prevention, helping those that are injured, and being responsible with costs.

Jessica is our agentic AI. She guides a patient through a full assessment — pain mapping through natural conversation, voice-enabled clinical intake, and camera-based movement capture measuring range of motion to a tenth of a degree. She measures and structures the clinical picture. She does not diagnose.

No. Any camera-enabled phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. No wearables, no sensors, no special software to install, no clinic visit. The assessment averages 30 minutes and captures 1,000+ data points across 50+ standardized movements.

We’re on a different axis, not a better version of the same one. Exercise apps hand everyone a routine without ever screening whether they need it. We screen first: what’s wrong, who’s at risk, and whether treatment is working. Most MSK apps are vitamins. We’re the blood test.

Being direct about the trade: they have distribution, capital, and brand at $2–6B scale. What we have is physician-interpreted objective measurement, risk prediction, and treatment validation in one closed clinical loop.

The structured output of every assessment: an Assessment Report (head-to-toe MSK summary), a ROM Report (isolated measurements and deviations), an Oswestry Report (standardized disability scoring), and Custom Reports for any stakeholder. Each movement is scored against unit-aware target windows with status flags that surface risk at a glance.

Clinical & Regulatory

A licensed physician. Always. Every flagged result is reviewed by a credentialed MSK physician who makes the diagnosis and directs care. The AI measures and structures; it never diagnoses and never decides treatment.

This is the single most important sentence on our website: the AI measures, the physician diagnoses and directs care, and the next assessment proves whether it worked.

Normal clears; risk routes. A flagged result goes to a credentialed physician for diagnosis, then into coordinated care through a national network of vetted providers, billed to the insurance the patient already has. The screen scales infinitely; the care is real.

No. Our AI is pointed at the body, not at the claim. It does not make coverage decisions. We remove fraud, waste, and abuse, which are the largest preventable costs in healthcare. Cutting costs should never mean cutting care. Some patients need procedures, medications, or surgery, and we support the right answer whatever it turns out to be.

Data & Privacy

Yes. Protected health information is handled in accordance with HIPAA.

We do, and we don’t sell you personal information to others.

For Employers, Brokers & Plans

Everyone who has exposure to cost and quality. That includes self-funded employers, rural health, FQHC, attorneys dealing with worker’s comp and personal injury, brokers, consolidators, and physicians who need a proper MSK solution with objective movement data.

An objective MSK screen at a cost significantly lower than a subjective functional capacity exam.
The buyer’s math: a single avoided surgery, often hundreds of thousands of dollars all-in before lost productivity, pays for hundreds of screens. Every treated episode is re-measured, so the outcome is provable.

Among symptomatic patients inside a working practice, engagement runs 80–90%. For asymptomatic employer populations we deliberately model conservatively: 20% completion as a base case, 50%+ with benefit-design incentives. The business works at the base case. We would rather show you the floor than sell you the ceiling.

Yes, it’s one of the clearest applications. Objective function data supports impairment documentation, return-to-work planning, and claim-duration management, and surfaces consistency flags for variances that cannot be medically explained. Findings are built to be defensible in medico-legal contexts where narrative notes have never been enough.

The Company

Three things, and they converge.

Clinically and technologically, Augmented Artificial Intelligence — intelligence that augments the physician rather than replacing them.

Across India, आई (aai) means mother — in Marathi, Konkani, Assamese, Tamil, and Meitei: Indo-Aryan, Dravidian, and Tibeto-Burman languages that are not even related to each other.

Across East and Southeast Asia, 愛 (ai) means love — in Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean hanja, and Hokkien. One character, roughly three thousand years old.

The name came first. The acronym arrived to fit it. The full story →

AAI Health is physician-led. Our founder and CEO is Dr. Jay Joshi, MD, a nationally recognized double board-certified and fellowship trained interventional pain physician, who has pioneered dozens of solutions, treatments, discoveries, procedures, policies, and treatment guidelines. He was the first physician to predict the Oxycontin epidemic in the 1990’s.

The team includes a chief medical officer in obesity medicine, an operating COO, a two-time exit founder as CTO, a deep AI and computer-vision engineering team, and a clinical network of credentialed MSK experts reviewing assessments today. Meet the team →

One ecosystem, three peer companies, one founder. National Pain Centers is the clinical arm and the physician-led practice where the ecosystem was built and validated on real patients. Deep Mind Healthcare is the technology arm and the computer-vision and motion-capture engine behind Jessica.
